Short answer: IGNITE is a hardware sequencer shown by Behringer with 64 tracks, a touchscreen, CV/gate outputs, five MIDI pairs, Wi-Fi and open-source firmware that is already on GitHub. The hardware itself is not available, and Behringer has announced neither a price nor a release date.
According to Gearnews (October 29, 2026), which draws mostly on Behringer's GitHub page, IGNITE is organized as song, scene, track and pattern, with up to 64 tracks. Patterns can run up to 16 bars and scenes up to 200 bars. (Gearnews' own subheading says 16 tracks while its text says 64, so check the final spec when it exists.)
All of this comes from a firmware repository, not from a finished unit. Gearnews says the hardware is not available yet.
The video, "Behringer IGNITE: The New OXI One Killer?", asks whether IGNITE could be the new OXI One killer, or a Squarp Hapax for everyone. Those are the video's comparisons, made from the spec list. With no price, no release date and no unit to test, it is a fair question and not an answer. The video's chapters also cover the "But it's Behringer..." reaction and what generative sequencing could mean for a modular setup.
A sequencer is mostly firmware. If the code stays public, the community can add track types, clock behaviors or Eurorack-specific tools that the manufacturer would never prioritize. Gearnews frames IGNITE as part of a wider trend of manufacturers opening their firmware, after the Behringer KICK. What the license allows, and whether Behringer will support community builds, has not been explained.
The channel also published a slow, nine-minute ambient modular jam, "Waiting for the Behringer KICK & IGNITE to Run My Modular", with patch notes before the full jam. The notes, from the video description:
The jam is the "before" picture: a rack run by existing gear while two open-source boxes are still on paper. For more of the series, see every Radio In Altum video in order.

A hardware sequencer shown by Behringer with up to 64 tracks, a touchscreen, CV/gate outputs, five MIDI pairs, Wi-Fi and open-source firmware published on GitHub.
Is the Behringer IGNITE available to buy?
No. Gearnews reported on October 29, 2026 that the hardware is not available yet and only the firmware is on GitHub. No price or release date has been announced.
How many CV and gate outputs does IGNITE have?
The Radio In Altum video lists 8 CV and 8 gate outputs. The specs are provisional because they come from a firmware repository.
Is IGNITE an OXI One or Squarp Hapax alternative?
That is the comparison the Radio In Altum video makes, based on the spec list. Without a unit, a price or a release date, it cannot be confirmed.
